SocialCO Media, LLC ("we", "our", or "us") operates trueswingers.com ("the site", "the service"), including its website, mobile web app, chat, and private messaging. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. The service is hosted in the United States. By using the site you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
Information you provide
When you create an account you give us an email address, a username, and a password (or you sign in with another account, see below). As you use the site you may add profile details, photos, videos, posts, comments, messages, event and location check-ins, and other content. If you buy a membership we receive the details needed to complete and record the purchase. If you verify your age, the verification result is recorded on your account. If you contact support or file a report, we keep that conversation.
Information we receive automatically
When you visit the site our servers log technical information sent by your browser or device, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, and the date and time of the request. We use this to run and secure the service, prevent fraud and abuse, and diagnose problems. We keep these logs only as long as needed for those purposes.
Signing in with Google
If you choose "Sign in with Google", Google asks your permission to share basic account information with us. We request only the standard openid, email, and profile permissions, and we receive:
- your Google account ID, which we use to recognize you the next time you sign in with Google;
- your email address and whether Google has verified it, which we use as your account's login and contact address, and to link to an existing account with the same verified address;
- your name, which we use only to suggest a username when your account is first created (you can change it);
- a link to your Google profile picture, which is stored with the sign-in link.
Google also issues sign-in tokens, which we store on our servers with the link to your account. We do not use them to read your Gmail, contacts, calendar, Drive files, or any other Google data. We cannot access any of that because we never ask for permission to it.
We use the information we receive from Google only to create your account, sign you in, and keep your account secure. We do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with anyone, except service providers who help us run the site (listed below) or where the law requires it. People at our company do not read it except to provide support you ask for, to investigate abuse or security issues, or to comply with the law. We do not use it to develop, improve, or train artificial intelligence or machine learning models, and we never use it to create, generate, or alter images of you or anyone else.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can remove our access at any time from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. When you delete your account (see below), we delete the Google sign-in link, the stored tokens, and the information we received from Google.
Signing in with other accounts
We may also offer sign-in with other providers, such as Apple, X (Twitter), or Twitch. The same rules apply: we receive only basic account information (an account ID, email address, and name or handle), we use it only to create your account and sign you in, and we delete it when you delete your account.
How we use information
- to provide the service: your profile, feeds, messages, chat, media, and the features you use;
- to process purchases and manage memberships;
- to keep members safe: verifying age, reviewing reports, moderating content, and preventing spam, fraud, and abuse;
- to send you account and service emails, such as sign-in codes, receipts, and notifications you have turned on;
- to understand how the site is used so we can fix problems and improve it;
- to meet our legal obligations.
What other members can see
Your username, and the profile details and content you choose to share, are visible to other members according to your privacy settings. Some content you mark as public may also be visible to visitors and search engines. You can change these settings at any time in Settings.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- with service providers that run parts of the service for us, such as hosting and content delivery, payment processing, age verification, email delivery, spam and bot protection, error monitoring, and website analytics. They may use the information only to provide their service to us;
- when required by law, at the request of governmental authorities conducting an investigation, to enforce our policies, or to protect the safety of our members and the public. Content involving the exploitation of a minor is reported to the appropriate authorities;
- with a successor company if our business is sold or merged, under the protections of this policy.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as language and theme), protect forms against bots, and measure how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but parts of the site will not work without them.
Emails
We send emails needed to run your account, such as sign-in codes and receipts. You can turn off optional emails and notifications in your account settings, or by using the unsubscribe link in any promotional email.
Ad servers
We do not currently partner with any ad networks, and we do not share your information with advertisers.
How long we keep information
We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting. When you delete your account, your information is deleted as described below.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself in Settings, under Account. Your profile is hidden right away and you have 30 days to change your mind: log in and choose Restore my account. If you do nothing, at the end of the 30 days we permanently delete your profile, photos, videos, posts, comments, messages, friends and the other content you added, including the copies of your files on our storage and content delivery services, and we remove your personal details from the account itself, including any linked sign-in accounts such as Google. Any subscriptions are cancelled when you ask to delete.
What we keep: billing and payment records, with card details and billing addresses removed, for as long as tax and accounting law requires; safety and legal-compliance records, including reports we are required by law to make and the record of moderation actions; and a record, with no personal details, that an account existed. Forum topics that other members replied to may remain, with your name and text removed. Third parties that copied or cached your public content, such as search engines, are outside our control.
Each site we run keeps its own accounts. Deleting your account here does not delete an account you hold on another site, so make the request there too.
Your choices and rights
You can view and update your profile and privacy settings at any time, delete your content, and delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Keeping your account safe
We protect your information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and restricted access to our systems. No system is perfectly secure, and anything shared on the internet can be copied, so we recommend that you do not post sensitive personal information.
Usernames and IDs
Usernames are very easily linked together through search engines. We recommend that you choose a username for the site that is different from your other personal accounts.
Children
The site is only for adults 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we close it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the revision date below, and if the changes are significant we will let you know on the site or by email.
