Throw it away. I doubt any store would take it back. Then check the high quality ones made at gear essentials

Firstly make sure you have one the right size. If it's too big it
might not do its job can evenfall off. I got one fitted at a
shop in Cap d'Agde where I could try several sizes. BTW if it's too small you won't even get the first ball through.
