First, my apologies for somewhat bare profile -- and I mean that, alas, in not a good sense. A few years ago, I was here from time to time, but that was so long ago that I no longer even recall my profile name. I'll post some pics soon.

I have been getting naked with friends ever since boarding school, when my buddies and I would take camping trips in a nearby national forest over long weekends. We would often swim naked with the horses -- my horse loved the water -- and we must have looked like something from an Eakins painting. Later my college friends and I would occasionally break into the gym at night and go skinny-dipping; extremely innocent pleasures can feel a little transgressive when one is young. I'd also visit a friend at a college a few states away, where his dorm had a pool in the basement. More late-night nudity with men and women happened there, some of which was quite chaste, and some of which had a memorable and comradely erotic charge that played a part in helping me to realize who I am. I went on to occasional nudity at Baker's Beach in SF, Gunnison Beach in New Jersey, Burning Man, various other festivals and gatherings, and many other places. Decades after I started, I still find it sweet, honesty-inducing, and capable of being quite innocent in its way. I'm open to the playful side as well. I'm very interested in intentional communities and non-conventional ways of communal or country living that would involve the easy acceptance of nudity, but that wouldn't necessarily focus on nudism as a distinct ideology. I have had some experiences with living in that way, and I'm interested in more experiences along those lines as I become less immersed in may career. Nudism has its bourgeois and conventional side, but I'm interested in the thoroughgoing acceptance of nudity -- and when appropriate, the thoroughgoing acceptance of honest, consensual, life-enhancing, and adult manifestations of sexuality -- as a strand in ways of being in the world that stand apart from conventional and unreflective modes of life.
