Return to DiscussionsHas anyone in this group has been here? The have a coed everything kind of areas. The wet area is segregated by sex. Different jacuzzis. I tend to be shy to make friends there. May be easier to find someone with chemistry and meet there. No playing in there allowed.
Island Spa is a great place. Been there many times. I have not gone back there since the pandemic, I heard they are open but would rather wait until everything is open again. In the meantime I have been going to Gunnison Beach almost once a week this summer.
I have been to Island Spa a few times. Like most nudists, I preferred staying in the wet areas. The hot water plunges are really hot, and the cold water ones are really cold. The sauna is nice and warm but the steam room is kept too hot for me. My first time there, I got a bit overheated, so make sure your health is good before you decide to go. By "overheated," I mean that I sat naked on my towel in the locker area for a while hoping to cool off before I got dressed. It wasn't working, so I went back in the cold water pool with my head under water a good amount of the time. It helped, but the drive home, with air conditioning on, I still needed to take off my shirt. I was still radiating heat for quite a while afterwards.
On my last visit, I had a better experience, and did not get as hot. I was there from about 10 AM to 3 or 4 PM. I saw a lot of change-over in the clientele. during that stay. It was getting pretty busy around 3:00. As I decided to get dressed in order to leave, I saw one of the workers go to the locker room, and get undressed so that he could indulge in the spa. I was kind of surprised, and asked him something like, "You can't get enough of this can you?" He said, "That's why I work here. I love it!" He was so friendly and frank about it, that I wanted to take my clothes off all over again and spend some time with him. I didn't because I wanted to respect his privacy. We all want to relax in our own way, right?
It must be great to have a job where you are not only comfortable seeing nude men all day, but also to join in with them when your shift is up.
