Given the fact that most penises ARE 13-16 cms long, medium IS average.
And for the posts a little further up: Just because bigger guys usually are more likely to show their tools does not mean that they are the majority. And porn guys' penis sizes are no benchmark for finding out the medium. They are casted BECAUSE they are ABOVE average

As someone who's worked in the porn industry, and as a stripper... and now works at an adult store, I can say this. According to major condom suppliers in the US the average male penis is between 5 and 5.5 inches long.
As for porn, don't ever use that for comparison... that's like using a male model to determine what an average body looks like. When they look for these guys that do porn... they actively look for the "huge" guys. That being said... camera angles can do a lot to make things look bigger, so can fish eye lenses and photoshop. There is a common thing called "porn inches" where they essentially beef up the number on a porn star... don't get me wrong, that guy claiming to be 11 inches is still probably a good 9.5, but there's still a level of dishonesty there. And don't even get me started on things like vacuum pumping and supplements... they also do things like make sure you don't jerk off at all for 2-3 days before hand. On one hand porn is easy money, all you have to do is fuck and stay hard for a few hours while they get the footage that they need and cum on command with any partner they place you with... on the other hand, porn is very difficult because you have to cum on command after having unsatisfactory sex in weird positions getting given commands by some bored guy behind a camera filming you under hot lights while you try to make it all look sexy.
And... in response to the "gay vs straight" comment on size, studies have actually shown that gay men produce more testosterone than straight men, and that the constant mix of male pheromones with themselves causes a higher sexual potency that when evident in adolescent and developmental years can cause a more intense development of secondary sex characteristics. Males and females combined actually tend to have a slightly different effect. While heterosexual couples still find enjoyment out of each other, testosterone and estrogen/progesterone , while present in both sexes at all times, is at an extremely low concentration in the opposite sex, and exposure to higher concentrations of it in some ways poison your system. It's part of the reason women have a more difficult time giving birth to male children as opposed to female children, and why if a woman has multiple male babies they get progressively smaller in birth weight and develop less in the womb as she has more of them... at least in a general sense of speaking.
Basically though... be happy with the size you have, and find ways to please your partner with what you are capable of doing... if you can't, find one you can.
