.5 miles from 411 on Salome right after a slight curve to the left and a yellow hw sign, look for dirt road that runs south in-between a large foothill on the left and smaller cones on the right. This area is full of target shooting evidence but as long as it's not the weekend usually no one is there. I have gone all the way back crossing a wash with both my truck and adventure bike with the soft river sand but use your best judgement. I've probably been naked most in this area. Once while naked with my service dog we came across not one but two pronghorn deer/antelope. The fastest land animal in the Americas. Like 60 + mph and trust me if they are bedded down and you spook them because you're within 20 feet of them they will disappear over the hilltop 1 mile away in less than a minute.
