What is the proper way to measure your penis? Where do you start measuring on the top or the bottom?

So I'm 3.5 inches soft on this cold November 2nd just sitting infront of computer goofing off.
But hard I'm 6.5 almost 7 when I'm rock hard.

Just got a paper measuring tape and measured the thickness I'm 4 3/4 inch thick. So I'm guessing that I'm an average sized male. Not too long and not too thick. I'm happy with it :)

newinterest101 - lol yes not a soup can but measured around is 4.75 and by your calculations i would be 1.5 thick. I'm all the same thickness from bae to head . No cobra hood here. Thanks for correcting me on this.

There is a pic of me measuring mine in the group album. I put the tape to the side for the camera. It shows 5 inches erect. I'm a lot smaller when flaccid. Last summer I surveyed 100's of men on two very big nude beaches. I came out average.
