Has female pubic hair lost it's misteque?

Not many years ago a thick bush would hide a woman's labia, adding a touch of mystery. But it seams to be much less common now. Pussies are often shaved or the hair stops at the top of the labia leaving them totally visible.

The group is in TN (I can't persuade Pamela to be active here). She's started a group of the same name on Flikr too. It is what gave me the idea to ask the question here.

This is my opinion about pubic hair. If it grows wild and not trimmed it just isn't attractive. Ever since I shaved mine with the help of hubby it's been the BEST thing I've ever done. Some people call this a new Trend and almost all woman like it or Love it.Not only does it look nice and hygienic and Pretty but it feels wonderful. Not to mention when having Oral done to you it's so Pretty nice and Bald and even taste Delicious.Hubby LOVES IT and prefers it on all woman. Not saying this is the best method just our own personal opinion and preference.

Many years ago, when I took my ex-wife to a nudist resort for the first time, she was very reluctant to undress. Nonetheless, she chose to just wear a tank top. Surprised, I asked her about her decision to go bottomless in spite of her shyness. And her answer was: "nobody can see anything anyway."
She wasn't wrong. She was hairy at the time, and her lengthy pubic hair provided complete coverage of her vulva. It allowed her to maintain her modesty while still being partially nude. That was still pretty common back then, and the only way to see the labia/vulva was if women spread out enough for it to be seen.

That was then; and now nearly all women (at least at my resort) are either completely bald or have a small landing strip. Even my (current) wife, who used to tout that she would "never go bald", changed her mind a few years ago - to keep up with the trend. I was of course elated that she would choose to make her vulva completely visible. But now...she also looks like everyone else! So something has been gained; while something was also lost. When she had hair, seeing her vulva was because her legs were open wide enough for it to be seen; and that was a "special occasion." Now, her lips are visible all the time to anyone at the resort. Not complaining; but still...

My wife and I are long-time nudists. Most of the women at our nudist club are either smooth or neatly trimmed, but my wife refuses to trim her bush. She says that she doesn't want to look like a pre-pubescent girl. I think that's silly as no one would mistake her for that. But it is her preference.
