I also have some hairs on the underside of my shaft, mostly towards the base. I tend to leave them in place now, as their absence makes a noticeable difference to smoothness during penetration. Also my skin feels a little raw there afterwards without them. I guess that's why there's a few there in the first place. The presence or absence of pubes above the shaft is also noticeable but doesn't result in any irritation for me, just sticking skin in the act. :-)
