Lubricant

I've had a cheap sounding tube for months made from plastic-silicone maybe but really clueless how to use I read somewhere it needs to be boiled , also what kind of lube should be used and what precautions should I use or do inserting in my pee hole as I don't want to damage myself if that make sense .without looking not sure how long it is maybe 15 inches so how far can I insert it what will it feel like as I insert it . I know they may be crazy questions but I wonder how many others want to try but are apprehensive to try .
